Astride an intimidating black quarter horse, Bullet, the Spirit Rider makes appearances at various sporting or special events as a symbol of the university and of Cowboy spirit. The pair get a raucous welcome at every football home game, as the stadium announcer declares, “Here! Comes! Bullet!” when Bullet and the Spirit Rider gallop in.
